On June 20th, 2023, a team from the Somali Consultants Association (SOCA) dispatched a team to ADAM Primary School in the Hargeisa Daami district led by the finance officer, their mission was to closely observe the selection process for an auto mechanics course, which was being overseen by the ADAM committee consisting of Yusuf Mahmoud Hussein, Hodo Faisal Mahad, and Khadra Mohamed Ahmed. The SOCA team's presence aimed to ensure that the chosen applicants met the advertised requirements and that the committee made their selections based solely on merit The Auto Mechanic Training Course was officially announced on May 8th, 2023, with a deadline for applications set on May 13th, 2023. The announcement was effectively disseminated through various channels, such as the Geeska Afrika newspaper, the minority community's elders, and the academy's Facebook page. The eligibility criteria for the program were clearly outlined, including age restrictions (18-35 years old), marital status, gender (male only), a strong background in the field, commitment to the program, responsibility, and current work and income. Out of the 42 applicants, an impressive turnout of 32 candidates arrived for the interview process on June 20th, 2023. The interviews commenced promptly at 9:32 am at the ADAM Primary School in the Hargeisa Daami district. The ADAM team conducted the interviews and evaluations under the watchful eye of the SOCA monitoring team. Following the assessments, the academy will convene to carefully evaluate the applicants, and within a few days, the 20 successful candidates for the course have been officially announced.
