On September 26, 2023, a team from SOCA visited Haldoor Technical and Vocational Training Center, offering a free four-month training program in Tailoring, Tie & Dye, and Makeup & Henna applications. The program is designed for 50 young female adults, with 25 in Tailoring and Tie & Dye and 25 in Makeup and Henna, to enhance their skills and increase their employability. The training courses are meticulously crafted to provide individuals with the necessary expertise and knowledge in these fields. During the four-month duration, experienced instructors guide trainees through the intricacies of tailoring, teaching them the art of creating exquisite garments. They will learn various techniques, from pattern making to stitching, ensuring they possess a well-rounded skill set. The Tie and Dye module introduces them to the vibrant world of fabric dyeing, allowing them to create unique and eye-catching designs. The Makeup and Henna training equips trainees with the expertise to enhance natural beauty and create stunning looks. Professional makeup artists will teach them the latest techniques in both traditional and contemporary styles, while they will learn the ancient art of henna, mastering intricate designs in high demand for cultural celebrations and events. By completing the comprehensive training program, trainees will become attractive candidates for potential employers, setting them apart from the competition and opening doors to exciting career opportunities.
